116th Medical Group Airmen join nationwide CERFP units for Nellis medical training event
Medical Personnel from Air National Guard units across the country demonstrate their patient assessment skills during a Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support course at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., Jan. 27, 2018. Airmen from the 116th Medical Group, Detachment (DET) 1, joined more than 15 Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear High-Yield Explosive, Enhanced Response Force Package, or CERFP, units for an intensive medical training event aimed at sharpening their skills. The 116th MDG, DET 1, is a part of the FEMA Region 4 Homeland Response Force. When a natural or man-made disaster strikes our homeland, CERFP units are designed to deploy within hours to assist the Defense Support of Civil Authorities. 116th POL sets up modified hot-pit in exercise Iron Dagger 2012

116th Security Forces turns up the heat in North Georgia
U.S. Airmen from the 116th Security Forces Squadron (SFS), Georgia Air National Guard, take part in counterinsurgency operations, or COIN, training at the Catoosa Training Site, Tunnel Hill, Ga., June 29, 2014. The 116th SFS deployed to the Catoosa Training Site for annual training where they received extensive classroom and hands-on training to hone their skills on various firearms such as the M4 carbine, M203 grenade launcher and M240 and M249 machine guns as well as training in various security operations performed by Air Force security forces personnel. During COIN training, the Security Forces Airmen used a simulated local village to practice building breaching and clearing operations as well as working with the local populace while encountering simulated threats. 116th Services Flight serves up a culinary delight at night
The 116th Services Flight, Georgia Air National Guard, serves a hot breakfast to E-8C Joint STARS aircraft maintainers during drill weekend at Robins Air Force Base, Ga., Feb. 8, 2015. The food service professionals from the 116th Air Control Wing took advantage of the opportunity to perform additional training on the use of their disaster relief mobile kitchen trailer (DRMKT), while providing nightshift aircraft maintenance workers the chance to enjoy a hot meal just off the flightline. The free-standing mobile kitchen, acquired by the unit just over a year ago, is designed for fast setup and teardown and can be transported aboard a C-130 Hercules aircraft.
